I went with Moogs before I knew they were a bad design. I put up with poor handling for many miles. Then I switched to Dynatrac joints and the truck handles better than new. A real pleasure to drive!

They are greaseable, but it would be hard to grease the bottom one. Dynatrac says it is not necessary to grease them and only made them greaseable because of demand. They are true spherical joints made with stainless steel and teflon.

Clearly they are WAY better than stock.

One other point with the Dynatracs, they are rebuildable as well. Agree with Raspy, have been riding on Dynatrac ball joints for 2 months now and the truck feels much tighter and tracks better.

Just installed Dynatrac upper and lower ball joints along with a new tie rod and drag link. Truck drives much better.

So...

If a guy only wanted to do ball joints once, and he planned on keeping his truck forever, should he go with dynatrac, or Carli ball joints?

The rebuildable thing really only matters to me if I don't have to pull the hub assembly off to rebuild them.

I also don't like the idea of not being able to grease the lower one.

The word "rebuildable", I think, really means they didn't roll the edge of the cup, but screwed it together. It certainly doesn't mean it's easy to fix. The only difference is you won't have to press out the body of the joint, but you still take the hub, the axle and the knuckle off to get to it. At that point you're there anyway and you can grease the lower one while the axle is out. I'm afraid "rebuildable" and "greaseable" are mostly a sales pitch.

But, I do like their ball joints! The truck drives great.

If anything, Dynatrac seems long on engineering and sales, but short on practical experience.
