03 rear end leaking

When i rotated my tires last week I noticed some gear oil coming through the stud holes on the brake disc on the rear passenger side so im guessing theres a seal going out. How hard is this seal to replace and since i have a 03 with a 47re does that mean i have the 10.5AAM?

Not sure about your oil leak problem but yes you have a 10.5 rear. My 03 48re S.O. has a 10.5 as well. The '03 H.O. autos have the 11.5.

Intersting note: The HO and SO in '03 and early '04 had the same towing ratings from the factory regardless of the build configuration. My '03 SO with 4:10s is rated at 12K. (3:73s rating is 10K).

I had a left rear wheel seal start leaking on my way to Alaska so I pulled it into a Dodge dealer in Canada and had them replace it. Cost me about $165. Took them about an hour to fix. Just had pinion seal replaced while I was having trans serviced and dif oil replaced. I have 152K on it so I guess those things will happen.
