Here's a picture of where I installed mine. I also used a Pier's type bolt for the intake (got it from Geno's). Much better than drilling and tapping, just remove a bolt and put in the new one.

How does the intake manifold bolt seal ? If it is exposed to the intake plenum allowing the gauge to see pressure, how does the straight thread bolt seal ? Also, it looks like there is fuel lines over the top of all the bolts. Which bolt have you all been replacing ?

I bought the replacement bolt - but not sure I'm going to use it. I may just tap the intake horn and return the bolt. I'm a little nervouse about the sealing. ???

When looking at the engine from the front of the truck I took the 2nd to last bolt from the end to the center of the block. It was the easiest to get to although it was a tight fit for my hand. I didn't put any thread sealer on it and only tightened it hand tight. I did not wrench it down real tight. I noticed the bolt that came out had some red sealer near the end of the bolt, though. The barbed fitting that goes in the pier's type bolt self tightens with npt threads that get bigger as you tighten it.

I have not had any leaking of air and saw 22 lbs. of boost before the EZ and have seen 30 lbs. on my SO when the EZ is on setting 6.

Earlier in this thread when discussing the pyro probe installation, FiverBob suggested dropping the turbo just enough to install a cardboard cover to protect the turbo from any metal shavings. After drilling and removing cardboard cover, is it simply a matter to retighten the 4 turbo to exhaust manifold bolts? Any need to replace gasket? Any new sealing material required?

I'm not concerned with the NPT thread - that is a sealing thread. The straight thread bolt into the intake is the part I'm concerned about.
