Having trouble with power steering leaks.... power steering tank was pressurizing so I put a new cap on that relieves the pressure... it sometimes pushes fluid out of the cap now......
I recently read a post that said the 03 could develope a buzz at 2000 rpms that was caused by the pressure line from the power steering pump( I believe to the hydroboost).
Just wondering what has been everyones fix for these problems?

 

I recently started hearing a buzz or groaning at low rpms <1000. I removed the AC fuse to rule out the AC compressor. It still does it, but much less now. I pulled the belt and checked all the pulleys. The power steering shaft is the only one with play. It moves in/out about a 1/4 inch. I almost bought a new one at Napa, but that one had similar play. Is this normal? I noticed my power steering tank is pressurizing also. Have not had any problems with brakes or steering. Should I expect too soon???

 

The noise I'm having is more of a groaning noise and it is at exactly 2000 rpm's.... I'm not having any trouble with the performance of the steering or brakes... just need to get rid of the leak/pressure from the power steering tank and the noise at 2000 rpm's. They are both starting to annoy me!
