Once again my 03 HO has lost power while towing. Driving along 55 no hill, power goes away. Put trans into neutral, shut engine off, restart and pull her back down into drive. Everything is back to normal, however with a 36 foot 5th wheel behind me it is kind of aggravating. I've had this truck to 5 Dodge dealers, none of whom could resolve and correct the problem.

Has anyone found a fix for this?

 

Lift pump going south?

Mine has done the same thing 3 times. When it does it, black smoke pours out the tail pipe.
Dealer says he couldn't find anything wrong.
