03 Fuel Sending Unit W/Pics

Well here is the fuel Sending Unit. I had Codes P0462 & P0463 & a P0088. I believe I figured out that I will have to get another FCA Valve to fix the P0088code. This fuel sending unit is broke from having bad fuel. It corroded the contact and was broke from the rest of the unit.
(1) Can I just get the little Plastic Unit that has the wires on it?
(2) Do I have to buy the whole round cylinder unit that goes inside the fuel tank?

I'm not positive but I remember reading here a while back that someone had to buy the entire piece. I could easily be wrong though!

So if I had to buy the whole unit, The Dealership says it has a pump on it. I told them that I have a Airdog system that mounts to the frame rail not a intank pump. He said it only comes with a pump. So would I use both pumps are what ? Or can I use it without the pump that is supplied with it? Anybody know?

Yes, you can use the unit by removing the installed pump. The AD II works that way. If you have the draw straw already installed then bypass the new pump altogether.

Thanks jhenson, When I put the airdog on my truck all I had to do was remove old fuel line from top of sending unit and put new fuel line on. Didn't have to put no draw straw on it. So does that mean if I bought this unit I would have to put a draw straw on it ? Sorry for so many questions. I also think I actually found a new sending unit on E-Bay without pump. Waiting on reply from seller about this.

Get yourself a Liberty Canister and do the following mod. It will save you time and grief over trying to make the OEM Ram Canister to work.
Check out this link by DTR Member Fisherguy and the photos. As I do not have a AirDog or Fass yet, but when I do this will be the way I am going to install it.

Pics. of canister modules.
Ok here is the new canister module and the old canister. Am I going to have to put a draw straw on the new canister and a return line also on the new canister ? I saw on Geno's there Vulcan Line kits for Draw straws. Which should i go with Vulcan I, or Vulcan II or Vulcan V ? Reason being new canister does not have return nipple on it like the old one does.
I can't believe all I needed was the electrical sending unit part and I had to buy a whole canister with pump and float. Hope someone helps here.
