03 computer vs 04.5 and up

Lets see if I have this right:

03-04 have 1 computer for engine/tranny
04.5 and up have 2 computers, one for the engine and 1 for teh tranny

Or is it:

03-04 have 2 computers, 1 for engine 1 for tranny
04.5 and up have 1 computer for engine/tranny

Ahhhh, OK, thanks! So, I would need the tranny harness, and an auto pcm, or possibly just go stand alone
