Can a 04 305 hp engine and ecu work with an 03 harness. I'd like to put the 04 engine and trans into an 03 truck. Both are automatics. Thanks in advance.

 

I would think it would work if they are both 305hp motors. I believe there are some differences in auto transmissions during these model years. But if they are both 305 motors they should both have the 48re. You should be good.

Didn't the 03 s still have the 47re? If it does will that change the wiring opposed to a 48re

 

If the 03 had the California 235hp engine than it might have had a 47re. All of the 305hp HO models had the 48re I believe.
