$11.00 A Lug??!!!!

I need 16 lug nuts for the rear end of my dually to put the spacers on but the 2 dealers I have contacted wanted 10.70 and 11 bucks for the lugs, A PIECE. I tried summit, 4wheelparts wholesalers, and my local parts guy but no body has em and just tells me to check with my dealer. Does anybody have any suggestions or any lugs they could spare? Surely someone has put on some nice chrome ones and still has the factory lugs layin around.
Thanks
Will

I know your pain. On my 98.5 I had to replace all the studs and lug nuts on the front end. I was washing it one nite and noticed that I was missing a lug nut so I figured no big deal I have 7 more on that tire I will just run to town and have the tire shop put a new one on. I then realized the stud was broke off after closer examanation. I checked the rest and found one more loose Lug nut, Oh well still 6 good ones, its only 7 miles to town so off I go. When they put it up on the lift and start removing the lug nuts they all begin to just snap the studs off with little or no effort. As it turns out all but 2 where either completly broke off or next to it. And to top it off the 2 good ones where side buy side. I was suposed to be leaving that evening on a 400 mile round trip. Needles to say I was EXTREEMLY lucky I noticed the missing lug nut. After trying all the local parts stores and local dealers I had to leave the truck in the shop over the weekend till all new hardware could be ordered from the dealer. That was a bill I dont need to have again.

Wow, that's a good price I was in a pinch and they had to same day ship them in so I got 8 at $14. a piece ....now I retorque with my own torque wrench to 140ft lb. Remember with an extension for duallies to add about 30 ft pounds for 8 inches of extension. That shop didn't and I almost ran a outside dually through someones house. ks

abc, are those factory dodge mudflaps? I have been searching for a plain black rubber pair and have been unsuccessful. I was about to order the husky flaps but I like those on your truck.

Wap, I'd give ya mine but I only got one left. If you go anywhere in your truck you need back spacers to hang the mudflaps off of. Check out Roadrat's, I'm getting a set like his when I get the next set. The Flaps are very nice and heavy but if you back over anything like snow they catch on the tire and get ripped off. I've screwed and bolted those suckers on so many times...Urethane plastic fenders don't make a good mounting spot on the dually...the last time I threw it in the back and it blew out going down the freeway so I figured that was a sign. ks

I have 2 extra sets of factory lugnuts I don't need. Do the duallys use the same ones as the SRWs? If you can use them I'll give them to you for whatever shipping costs.......

PM me if you can use them....

Dodgezilla is the man! I was going to try and find out who I bought mine from on EBAY. I got a pretty good deal there considering the prices around here. I couldn't even find the factory ones that I could afford so I have a set that fit but do not hold the center caps on too well. If your still looking I will try and find out where I got the good ones on Ebay.
