Loud "Clank" under truck when parked

05 Laramie crew cab 5.9C yada yada...
When parked after driving home from anywhere, really.
After about 30 seconds I hear a loud Clank coming from under the engine area.
not climbing under to look as I'm afraid of what I'll find. After about a minute or 2 I hear another. This will go on for several minutes. Not the typical cooling down sounds but a very startling "CLANK"!
Anyone else experience this issue? What the heck is it??
Tried searching but all that comes up is tranny issues or something else that's happening when a person is driving. This happens when the truck it parked and off.

I had a belt tensioner failure that required a coolant change when it was discovered the water pump was almost shot and changed.
I never noticed if the clank was there before this repair was done.
But there has been no coolant loss since the repair.
Is it related?

Probably the exhaust cooling down. Mine makes a loud noise that you can hear over the truck running at an idle and after it is shut off.

I would check and see if you had an air pocket trapped. Losen one of the pipe plugs on the head and see if any coolant ooses out.
