i`m new & just bought my first ever diesel truck a 01 dodge auto. 4wd.
my question is why does the front end wonder all over the road & what do you do to fix it. ??

check the front end for play ,trac bar and steering gear ,tie rod ends ball joints also add a dss (dodge steering stabilizer)to the sector shaft that will get rid of a lot of it and you could also have a alignment shop add more caster to it and bad part make these truck go all over the road

 

Yep what rebal said. Just finished doing this with my 142k truck.
Track Bar
Steering Gear
Inner/Out tie rods

DSS didn't help with the wondering only the 3 things above changed that.
