so i picked up this truck. and i have this wiring harness that comes out from underneath the plastic at the rear door.and is just laying on the floorcan anybody tell me what its for

 

Does the opposite end go anywhere? Or was it just laying in behind the panel? Maybe left over from some speakers? Or possibly the truck was a heavy haul escort vehicle? Light bar or something like that?

 

no the big end was just laying on the floor.wire comes out at back door in picture. guessing that it has something to do with my dome and map lights.(the push and click ones) i wouldn't think that you would need that many wires for a few lights

 

Third brake light/cargo light?

 

I know the rear speaker wires go that route so I'm only guessing that the third tail light and potentially the dome light are part of that loom.

 

thats what im hoping.school is out for the week, besides some homework i have nothing to do but finish my truck thanks for giving some direction
