my windshield wipers not working at first then suddenly started working. Then next time I started truck they didn’t work until I put it into drive and they came on and I turned them to intermittent and they wouldn’t work at all. Drove home with no wipers. Any idea what would cause this?

 

ok fixed it! Started looking for a loose ground, bumped the relay that was screwed high on the firewall that I think was for the stock fuel lift pump and the wipers moved. I just replaced the lift pump with a air dog and it came with a new relay so I had relocated the stock one over a few inches and screwed it to the firewall, I noticed when I bumped it that it had a small wire coming off the back of the mount (ground wire) when I moved it it sparked and the wipers moved. Bingo it’s fixed. Why they put the ground there I don’t know. The relay is no longer used or plugged into anything but the ground wire for the wipers is attached.
