Why no real crew cab?
Why no real crew cab?
Does anyone know why Dodge has never built a real crew cab truck in the new body styles ?
It just seems to me that Dodge has really missed out. If you go to events like a rodeo or and any racing event real crew cabs dominate because more than 2 people can ride in comfort to the long distance events. I know because I am in this group.
I feel like Dodge could do some real damage to the other two manufacturers with a real crew cab diesel dualie.
Re:Why no real crew cab?
i think it comes from the 'segment breaker' mentality that Dodge adopted in 93-94. bigger club cab than anyone, but no crew. the dakota is not a ranger, but not a F150 either. same with the Durango. it's been their marketing plan to hit the gaps, but i think the lack of a true crew has hurt them too.

probably why we own a 78 and 83 crew duallie, and had an 85 b4 the 83. (too bad a 440 can't get better than 10mpg with a tailwind in them tho!)
Re:Why no real crew cab?
Will be a ford for me if there is not a Crew Cab when its time for another truck. I'm tired of waiting for want seems will never happen. The other possibility is to have my truck stretched or put a cummins in the Ford.

Dave
