Where do the wires go?

I have a 1994 2500 4x4 auto.
Recently the stop lamp and turn signal fuses blew, then blew again when I replaced the fuses.
In the process of troubleshooting I found wires in the front and rear pillars on the driver's side. The front pillar has 3 wires and the rear pillar has 5 wires. The wires in the rear pillar run from the roof, down the pillar to the seatbelt roller. Then they go through a hole and in between two metal body panels. They don't seem to come out underneath the cab anywhere. What I want to know is how they get from there to the front of the truck. Is it possible they run through the rocker panels. Anybody know where those wires run and can say for sure.

I believe there is a channel in the cab along the door sills that the wiring passes thru.

Pull the carpet back at the e-brake and see if they come up around there, or behind the driver's kick panel.
