What is behind the glove compartment, big rattle

Drove to Phoenix over Thanksgiving and did some off-road fun on the way. After getting back to the smooth road I easily noticed a huge rattle somewhere behind the glove compartment. I could not feel any vibration or pinpoint the location, but it know it is somewhere behind there. What is there to fall out, get loose or shake? It looks like a real pain to access. It sounds like a wrench on a open tray bouncing around, not good. Any ideas? Thanks.

is there anything missing out of you glove box? i have had stuff fall behind there from bouncing around in the glove box. if i am not mistaken i think you can take the glove box it self out without having to tear apart the dash. i am not near the truck now so i cant be certain but hopefully someone else will chime in here.

I had a rattle that should like what you described coming out of the glove box area. I tried everything to figure out what it was for about 7 months. I ended up installing a bunch of new steering parts and after I did that work the noise went away. I thought afterwards maybe the noise was traveling up an into the cab from the front axle.
