my turn.
Just got back from the transfer station (dump ) and the truck with just me and a 1/2 tank fuel was 3075 KG or 6779 LBs.

just scrolling back here i see our trucks range from 6350 to 7900 lbs! even figuring the different accessories people have bolted on and making allowances for differing fullness of fuel tanks i'm surprised at the wide range of weights......verrrrry interesting.

I got to weigh mine with an empty Gooseneck dump trailer on Sat. 11,000 lbs with me, 1/2 tank, and tools in the back (and the trailer). Didn't get a chance to do just the truck though

I use mine to move myself around the country every couple of years and it comes in at a whopping 7400# every time with a full tank (it has a fiberglass topper.)
The rest is in the sig.

Well I got it figured outy why the wide range of weights... There is a factor that nobody is saying is the amount of equiptment that we store in the trucks... Like me I had my tire chains, tow chains, shovel, come-a-long, hand tools (sockets, etc.) this all adds to the total pounds.

I did the scales to see what I had left for ability without over doing for fire wood haulin' So yes I'm heavy sided... But truthful!

I would say anything bout' the amount of garbage some people carry in their rigs... I'm guilty there too!!!

there may also be differences in the scale accuracies themselves too....ok everyone meet in the middle of the united states somewhere and we will all get tested at the same weigh site....

Rattletrap1, Southbay as in Redondo & Torrance or San Jose?

I'm in Torrance, and looking for better places to fill up - this $2.40 a gallon is killing me!

I don't remember the exact weight, because it was a few years ago, but I was at 7,500 pounds (utility bed) with just me and very few tools. I'm sure it's heavier now.
