Question Washer Fluid Pump?

My washer fluid pump quit yesterday and i was just wondering if this is a normal piece that goes on these trucks or is it the wiring?? I will look at it this weekend but the reason i ask is because im in the city and could pick up the parts i need. Thanks

I've been working on these trucks a long time and have never heard of a pump failure. More often it's the reservoir cracking apart.
Had anyone been working under the hood recently that could have disturbed some wiring?

Seriously? I had to change mine last fall- the pump motor case rusted away- the pump is not well protected from the elements, and it's a cheap fix.... no a universal pump won't fit - tried that.

Simple- run 12V to the pump with jumpers, if it doesn't work, change the pump.

I'm surprised to be the first one here to have to replace one....

dont waste your time trying to test it you can get a new one for less than 5 bucks. best way to test it is have some one hit the button and listen for the pump to run. no run replace

When I got my 98 I thought my pump was bad because it was full and it no worky. I found the T connector under the cowl had corroded, I replaced it and all has been good sense. Its kinda a booger to get to but it can be done.
