Truck pull

Recently entered my other truck in Wapak Tugfest (W.T.F. for short) my BFG MT's didnt do so well. my question is have you ever entered a bumper to bumper pull with your truck and if so what tires were you running if you had any success? seen alot of different tires in these pulls last weekend and some of them were street tires. doin some lookin around and wonderin if theres any knowledge on our site here about this

On pavement/ concrete, try baldies or cheater slicks. On dirt? Hmm. Did you have any weight in the back? Weight distribution on these things is miserable.

this is on a concrete pad. dirt pulls really prove nothing other than who can dig a hole faster. thats my opinion anyway lol feel free to make it yours. ive watched drag slicks pull and were beaten quite easily. slicks are designed for asphalt im pretty sure thats why they arent as good as some others. watch the link below it is THE pull i go to.

Loads of fun and lots of drunk rednecks to watch as well thats as entertaining as the pulls themselves

don't forget to lower air pressure in tires too you get better traction with 30 psi then 70psi

i did that and i believe it helped. my dakota's mt's run 50psi we dropped them to 20 psi. i need to find a tire with soft/mild compound. 85% of a good pull is in the tires. as far as weight goes trying to get a lil bit more on the front helps when your frame stresses from the torque
