Trailer Harness Plug ??

My '02 2500 came with the trailer/camper package and has the big 7 wire plug on the back bumper, and camper plug in the bed, etc. I'm going down to pick up my new (to me) 2002 30 ft travel trailer tomorrow and today the Prodigy came in on UPS. Fine, went out and mounted it under the dash, then got to looking for the plug in the truck. Up under the dash above the left foot, right ?? I dunno. I had a good light and was upside down cussing and squirming for quite a while and never did find that fool plug.

Where should I look ?? Is there a place on the 'net where I can enter my VIN number and see if it really was installed ?? Man, I hope so. Thanks all

Lar.

Thanks, but that didn't work, either. Gonna hafta get a mirror and try again.....or maybe take it to the dealer. Hope not - my experience with their service dep't has been very bad. Won't allow them to work on it now that its' out of warranty.

Take the dash panel off and look up, it should be there.

Mine was out of sight on the other side of the electrical connection by the parking brake. Was a bear to find and get out of there.

Thanks, y'all. I took it to the local RV repair, and while making an extension for the trailer plug the technician crawled under there and found it way up above the steering column and buried in a mess of other wires.
