I was talking with a tech at Les Schwab and he said they replace the entire bar. Cost for a 96 stock bar is $235. Is it preferable to keep the factory bar and just replace the bushing? I would imagine the bushing is a lot cheaper. Just not sure why he did not mention installing new bushings into the existing bar?

There are 2 adjustments on it. Without the FSM in front of me I can't remember what terminology is used for them. One is on the upper end of the box and the other is on the top. Not all that easy to get to but I had the radiator and vacuum/PS pumps out of the way which helped a lot.

I just found out my Thuren needs a new bushing also! I have the older style with no zerk, but he sent me one so I will drill and tap it.
The Luke's Link IIRC is an upgraded bushing kit for the stock trac bar.

The ball end can get really loose. Mine was so bad when I first got it w/56,000 miles it locked the steering backing in my driveway. That got replaced real quick. I now have that one back on with the new bushing and a Lukes Link on the other end. I put on new tires (17") last night and it drives the best it ever has. I haven't had it on the freeway yet but I expect it should be good there also.
