Camarogenius thank you. These are nice mirrors, I guess I'll have to bite the bullet.

Since you do trucking jobs, have you tried Uship.com ?

Actually, I haven't. Maybe I'll go check it out.

Maybe I'll upgrade to the 3rd gen mirrors one day, but I don't think that will be anytime soon.
Yeah, Alberta is all around dry.

I meant more... the East (Quebec) or West (Vancouver)... probably be more important there.

Love my factory mirrors

I went to eBay last week, purchased factory non-electric, non-heated mirrors from a Dodge dealer. $206 shipping included, took less than 1/2 hour to install both sides this past Saturday. Factory mounting all the way.
Look great on and the view to the back, both in and flipped out, is literally unbelievable.
I read this thread with interest until I saw these mirrors installed on a website. Glad I went the way I did, but everyone has their own thoughts and tastes.
Hope everyone finds what they are looking for and drives safe!
I have to admit, I would LOVE to have the power version, but I'll do the 3rd gen conversion later down the road.

I absolutely love mine...power/heated and all, on a 97 as shwon above.

I got mine from wyattearp dodge in texas ( I think that is the name), lowest price I found.

I spent right at 450 bucks w/shipping for a brand new set of 98 non power towing mirrors, and a set of 02 power/heated towing mirrors.

Did the base swap, and then sold the resulting non power 02 towing mirrors for 175.

I stil have a perfectly good set of 97 stock chrome power mirrors (non tow) to sell also.

WELL WORTH the 300 or so bucks spent.

I think this will work if you copy and past this website in for you http://www.supertruckusa.com/products/73027_503_07.htm. Good luck.
Just got mine today and installed them. They seem great and the fit is perfect. I have no idea why they are selling them so cheap? I am looking at my RV catalog as I type and the same exact mirrors are $439! From order to arrival took 2 days. This is the first thing I have bought for my 97 3500 that I picked up last week. Supertruckusa will be getting more of my hard earned cash shortly
