Third brake light gasket

I know this subject has been beat to death but has anyone found a permanent fix to the leaking third light. My truck is a 95 and over the last 10 years I have pulled my passenger side seat out and dried my carpet 3 times. I have put 2 new gaskets that last for about 2 years and it will do it again. This time I ordered and new led light from JCW with gasket but thought about doubling the gasket to see if that helps. It would almost be worth taking it to a body shop cover the hole fill it and paint the top and saying to heck with this. It takes about a week to dry with a big fan running
I have checked the rear window, door drain holes and ac drain but it is always the same place on that one side right down the edge of the door and puddles under the carpet.

I know some that did that but when they needed to get the light out they broke it. I may have to go that route. I may have to use the clear my truck is red.

I ended up with the silicone route as well, Guess I would rather risk breaking my housing than rotting my truck floor.

You would think someone could come up with a silicone molded gasket........Wish I knew how to make them, a guy could sell thousands.

I would imagine it wouldn't be hard to cut a gasket out of bicycle inner-tube material.

Inner-tube wouuld not be thick enough I don't think. I am trying to locate some sheet gasket material about 3/16 soft enough to work. Found some but most is either fiber or hard rubber

I used clear gutter sealant over the top and down each side, with a new gasket back when I did mine.
