Got mine off e-bay for $22.00 pair.

Seem to be good quality factory replacements and made in USA.

You must have the only special trick Titanium set made, I have been through at least 3 sets in my 4 year ownership of the 2 trucks. Rust starts under the plastic and she snaps.................

One of these days I am going to make up a link set like the old trucks had..........

Mine made it a hundred and eighteen thousand miles, but I use my truck and am in and out of the box daily.

A friends truck lost one, then the other and he now has a nice crease across the lower half of his tailgate. Avoidable for 22 bucks.

They cost a lot less than bodywork or a new tailgate.

Dorman for 8 bucks at Autozone, the ones they have work fine. Very cheep to replace every 5 years or so.

My original tailgate cables had over 100k miles on them when I dropped off the truck and 30' gooseneck flatbed off at the local tire dealer for some new trailer tires.
Unknown to me they removed the trailer from the truck to install the new tires.
Wouldn't have been a problem except when he put the trailer back on the tire monkey forgot to put the pin in that locked the hitch down.
I got about a quarter mile down the highway from the tire dealer when the trailer hitch came off, slid down the bed, bent the tailgate in half so it came off.
The cables held though and I was able to tow it a couple hundred yards to a place to pull off the road.
The cables were the only thing holding the two ton trailer off the ground and pulling it!
One guy lost his job, tire dealer paid $900 in damage and I'm still using the original cables 10 years later.

I dont know why no ones said it but genos has em for like 9 bucks. I have them on my truck and they've withstood many loading and unloadings of motorcycles. And they have a little clip so it doesnt slip off.
