Switches

i want to get rid of the turn **** for the headlights and clearance lights and panel lights and put them to thier own switches. I am sure it can be done but does anybody have any ideas. I am trying to go for the big rig look and i just don't care too much for that turn ****. I know how i want everything to work in my head but the reality of it after looking at all those wires back there are just beyond me. Any help and suggestions would be much appreciated.

Well your right about all the wire back there...makes it tuff to do anything with accessories and switches. But if your gung-ho about replacing the turn ****, then you will have to fabricate some sort of mounting point if you want the new switches in the same place. I've never seen any type of kit for this situation, but doesnt mean there aint one. I think that you will just have to look at a wiring diagram and start testing wires if you dont have one. Good luck and keep us updated.

I would look into a good manual with the wiring diagrams in it. The haynes has what you need for under $20 but the factory one at less than $80 shipped to your door is better. www.techauthority.com It has been done as far as changing out the factory pull to a older style rotate switch, Goodluck,, Rick
