Sway Bar!!!

On the passanger side where the sway bar hooks to the axle broke and i know you can get new ends but is it worth the money? It still seems to ride the same.

My guess is it probably comes in handy when hauling or towing heavy. A sway bar wont affect your ride. Its just there to minimize body lean, or "sway" when turning or on a off-camber section of road. I'd replace it, but look for soemthing aftermarket.

Get it fixed. Makes a huge difference in high speed turning/safety.

um, not necessarily. You mean the front or rear sway bar?
Not all rams come with rear sway bars. I havent ever had one.

The front one is a good thing though

The end links for the sway bar are like 30 bucks. Go ahead and fix it. Will make a difference in how your truck handles.

Is it the front or rear sway bar?

One of the links for the rear bar broke on the '98 a couple of years ago and Dodge wanted $8X.XX just for the end, so I made a new end at the shop (and a pattern for the other side for when it broke - which it still hasn't!)

Get the links from the page above. They don't bend and brake like the factory ones. Eric

My truck didn't originally come with one, but once I put one on, I'd never take it off. My truck corners better than any other vehicle I currently have ........... well except for my motorcycle, but that's a completely different comparison.

my buddies did one of these today on his 02. it was kinda nice to see the 01 and the 02 24v 6 speeds sitting together in the driveway. seemed like it was easy enough after 3 trips to the parts store for misc. stuff.

Mine doesn't have one unless the previous owner took it off when he put the 2" lift on. Are longer end links necessary for a small lift? I had thought about getting a rear sway bar to put on the truck.

I got some new end links and I got some bushings from energy suspension my truck doesn't roll like it used to, it made a big differnce.

There are 2500 that are not sports that came with a rear sway bar my buddy has and 02 that has one, and I have seen others

They sell them at Napa. I bought one a couple years ago, was under $20.
