Steering Stabilizer
Steering Stabilizer
I don't know to much about stabilizers, but I want to replace the stock one on my 2001 3500. What should I go with a dual or single stabilizer? What brand is recomended the most? I don't do much off roading mainly trailer towing on the highway.
I just put on the skyjacker dual shock stabilizer kit ...............works good and looks nice too
a single replacement shock from any reputable brand should weork just fine though

If you decide to go with SkyJacker and there dual unit, Make sure you get the new version. It is new to this year and is a dual in-line steering stabilizer. Not the dual stacked steering stabilizer that has been around for some time. If you think SkyJacker is for you, right now 4Wheel Parts has them with free fright, it will save you some. They generaly sell for 90-100 bucks, Good Luck.

I finally replaced the stock one on my truck about two weeks ago with a rancho rs 5000 single unit from advanced auto . as beat up and worn out as im sure the stocker was compared to the new rancho, i really didnt notice a heck of alot of difference after replacement. i guess that i was expecting to stiffen up or add a little resistance to the steering and it really didnt. but the installation was fairly easy with the supplied parts. the only hard part was the removal of the stock one .
