Steering Box for '95 2WD
Steering Box for '95 2WD
My original steering box went bad in 2015, but I got 20 years of good service out of that OEM box. The mechanic I took it to replaced it with an auto-parts box that had a 12 month warranty. That box went bad exactly 13 months later. I ordered a Red Head box, and had it installed according to factory directions in 2016. Now that box has begun to leak. So I only got 7 years out of the Red Head box.
Well, does anyone have a recommendation for a new box? I looked at Borgeson, but their website doesn't have a box for a 1995 Dodge 2WD.

Red Heads were the go to box for years, frustrating...I'm convinced the incompetence level of the modern workforce has not yet hit an apex...see Boeing issues...if it has crept into aeronautics, the auto industry is already infected fully....
My go to for a steering box when the time comes was certainly redhead, maybe give a call. I just got a ton of help from ISSPRO regarding my 20 year old gauges..

The 'borgeson' is a delphi 680 box that is oem for certain years of silverado/sierra. Theres some washer/spacers and spline adapter to make it fit dodge. Can probably figure it out yourself.
The general problem with stock replacement reman boxes is the cores they rebuild are now old, well worn, and marginal at best.
