Speaker Recommendations

Howdy,

I'm ready to buy new speakers for my 96 dodge ext cab and was wanting to know if anyone had any recommendations or had good experience with any certain speakers. I'm looking for 6x9's in the front doors and 5.25's in the rear. I will be running an Alpine PDX-F4 amp that puts out 100+watts x 4 channels at 4 ohms. I'm looking for high quality speakers and would like to keep the total around 300 or less for both pairs together.

So far I've been considering Alpine Type R's all around but wanted to see if anyone knew of some others.

My truck currently has the infinity system but everything will be stripped out.

Thanks,

Did you guys have any clearance issues with the kappas, esp the 6x9 in the front?
If you look at Crutchfield's website they don't fit...??

the local stereo shop installed them the cone protector thing came off to fit. that was is other wise was told it was straight forward install. find a infiniti installer and ask them in your area. installers would know all the tricks.
