welcome aboard. You should add your truck to the signature so we know if its newer or a 1st generation. Could be the seat springs too.

I have been having back problems since thanksgiving '06. I went to the doctor, got pills, went to the physical therapist, but none of that did ^(&%$&.

Then I noticed that I had the same problem with my truck. I looked under the seat and noticed that all the small gauge wire straps on the driver's side of the driver's side seat were broken and allowing several inches of sag on one side of the seat. I removed the bench seat assembly and bolted up a 14 gauge piece of sheet metal underneath the seat with self tapping screws. I think the dimensions of the sheet metal piece were 8"x14". There is no excessive sag now, and honestly, it is only noticeable on very large bumps/rough terrain.

For a week now, my back has seen major improvement! I am certain that was the root of my back problem.

Remove your seat cover. Remove the foam seat pad. Wrap a piece of denim, canvas, burlap or any other heavy material around the frame. You can use steam your original foam seat pad halfway back to shape and add more foam (available from upholstery shops, fabric shops, Wal-Mart etc..) purchase a new foam seat pad from the dealer, or switch the foam seat pad that is broken down with the passenger side pad. Unless the carriage under the seat (the steel wire) is broken your seat is now fixed. If the wire is broken it is fairly self explanatory on how to fix it or they can make you one at an upholstery shop.
