RWAL sensor ?

My park light and abs light have been on for a while. Have read that the rwal sensor can be cleaned. I pulled it out and it did have some crud on it. It also seems that some of the plastic on the sensor end has rubbed of exposing wire.

Is that normal? I don't want to put another sensor in and have it chewed up.

TIA

I am wondering if that is normal for the sensor to get chewed like that. If there is something wrong it don't want to get a new sensor and install it just to have it chewed again.

Is normal wear and tear or is something else wrong?
