Noticed I didn't have any reverse lights the other night, went to my local speed shop and they gave me 1157 bulbs, so the next day started looking into this, as far as I can tell these are the wrong bulb, I only see 2 bulbs in the taillight housing and there the push in type, so I bought some aux. reverse lights, got them mounted up and cant find a hot wire for the reverse lights?? I checked the fuse in the dash and its good, checked the plug on the tranny and it was plugged in, anyone else had this problem before? Thanks for any info...

 

It is probably the backup light switch. I had one go bad in my 96 w/ AT. I don't know where they are mounted on a 5 sp but that is the 3rd place to look after fuse and bulbs.
