replacement battery cables

Hello,
I am located in Calgary Alberta. Does anyone know of a local manufacturer who makes battery cables? The Dodge dealer wants $400 for a set of four. I need only two, the R hand negative terminal to ground cable and the connecting cable between the R battery and the L battery. This is for a 2002 5.9L Cummins Dodge.
Regards,
Ian

Starter/Alternator shops can often make cables. Make sure they have the crimper that resembles a bolt-cutter (like this - it cold-fuses the strands and end. There are also bench-mount versions) - not the hammer-lug type crimper. And use thick, adhesive-lined heat-shrink to go over the junction between cable and end, to prevent corrosion from starting. I would recommend CustomBatteryCables.com if you weren't in Canada - I have no idea what the cross-border issues are. No affiliation with that business, but I bought components from him when I build my cables.

battery cables

Thanks for the Princess Auto tips.
I was at the shop that does work on my truck. I happened to be in the front when their mechanic came in.
I was telling the owner how I called a dealer in Calgary who quoted me around $1400 to replace all four battery cables. In the spring, I was quoted $140.
The mechanic told me he would make up a new set. The cost to me was $250.
So, saving me the cost of buying the crimper (as I would use it only once), having to running around buying the cable, the connectors et al, I thought $250 was a good deal.
Regards,
Ian
