Repair Manuals

Ok, Anyone ever seen a Chilton's manual for the 2001 model year ram? I've seen the Haynes version but not the Chilton's. Also anyone care to chime in on their personal preference on the best repair manual for these trucks? I want to get one but don't want to throw money out the window on a manual that isn't worth the paper it's written on! Thanks.

I have a 2001 Ram FSM as a PDF. Its fairly large, at 69meg. If there were some way of uploading it, I'd pass it along. I doubt an email server would take it. If you know of a way to get it to you, let me know.

That would be sharing copy write protected materials and against the forum rules you agreed to here. What you guys do on your own, I don't care but please do not use DTR as a way to steal from anyone.

I never intended to ruffle any feathers with this post. Just looking for some valuable info for future reference. However, with that said, Thank You Max340 for the offer. I'll look into the factory cd and see if that is what i'm looking for. Again, Thanks!

I bought the hard copy of the FSN. Maybe it is just me, but it is so much easier to browse through a real book looking for something than it is on a giant pdf file.
They are about the same cost.

It depends on how the pdf is created. If the table of contents is click-able you can find what you want really fast. If not it's a little slower. Then you can do a word search and find a list of pages that may pertain to your topic

I've got the paper manual from Geno's. He seems to sell them as cheap as anyone.

buy the factory manual, the aftermarket manuals are missing LOTS of info- just look at the page counts! You can also buy back to 95 (and the diagnostic books) direct from Dodge https://techauthority.gltghosting.co...atalogId=10051

I agree with you. I have the hard copy for my 2000, but I like the idea of being able to print out the pages I need so I can take them to the truck. With the FSM book, it takes space to set it down, and it risks getting it grubby. With pages printed out, I can get them dirty, they read and sit just about anywhere.

So, given the choice, I'd take both, I guess.

Anyone know where to get the factory manual for a 94 other than Genos? They want $99 for it. Tech Authority only goes to 95

Thanks

If you need one thats the price range , you can not compare the FSM pricing with haynes & chilton , if you do not need right away then you may find a single copy a little cheaper , but to buy one from a source/store/ that has them , Geno's is about as good as it gets .
