Recharging A/c ?

OK, so maybe I need more than glasses, but I cannot see or find the low pressure line to attach the R134 to recharge the A/c..

Help an old man out with failing eyesight...PLZ...

Your 98 should be the same as my 01.

Passenger side of firewall, between airbox and turbo housing you should see an aluminum line with a grey cap on it. It's labelled "L". There are two lines but only one has a service port so it's pretty elementary. The high side is on the passenger side right by the radiator. It has a smaller cap and is labelled "H".

You can see it from the front of the truck, easiest to reach from the passenger side. Sorry, don't have a pic.

Thanks...found the high side right up front but could not see where the low side went.
Besides the eyes not being what they used to, the truck sets so high..

Appreciate the help. Next on the list is a good manual like Chilton or Hayes eh?

THANKS

My A/C system is leaking right now. Gotta fix that...

Biggest thing with charging the system is pulling off the hose after finishing. Seems like every time I forget how HOT that turbo gets.
