Radio Back lighting

I have an Inifiniy factory C.D. player that I bought off EBAY and swapped out in my truck. It has no back lighting other than the display, can't see anything at night. It looks like to me that it does not have back lighting but I haven't taken it apart to see. Can anyone advise, does it have back lighting??

Yes it should have all kinds of backlighting. All the buttons and cd slot light up on mine including the 3 equalizer buttons. Not to sound discouraging, but the lighting on the radio in my Tahoe has slowly been going out and this can't be fixed once it starts happening, however a new factory radio on e-bay is around 15-20 bucks. Make sure you have all the wires figured out and hooked up, if the lights are all out it may just be a wire that isn't contacting. Kurt

I took the radio apart and found it has about 8 little lights for illumination. For whatever reason they were not receiving power through the circuit board even though the radio was receiving power at the rear. I was able to solder a jumper wire into the circuit and power the lights from a different source inside the radio. The only draw back is they come on with the key not the lights. Anyway if anyone has lights out in their radio you can replace them but you have to solder a replacement bulb into place. It's relatively simple to get to them, the front circuit board comes apart separately.
