pulling to the right

Just had the whole front end rebuilt on my 2002 2500 Sport, 4x4 diesel. Before the rebuild, had a slight pull to the right, but not constant. Now after the rebuild i still have a pull to the right, it was quite constant at first but did decrease after about 100 miles. Took it back to the shop. They switched the front tires and checked it again on alignment, which was good. The tire swap did help.It still pulls to the right, but not constant and subtle. Was told by the tech that 80% of the Dodges do have a slight pull. Anybody else have this experience?

Check for the spacer located on the lugs/hub of the rt front axle....wasn't this an after thought and recall/install by Dodge to help w/pull to the right?

Do a general search on alignment. You need to compensate for road crown. I forgot what spec but perhaps slightly more caster on 1 side. The machine nets everything out & prints "steer ahead angle". Get the lifetime Firestone alignment you will need it with the Ram. I go on the machine whenever I feel like it - now for FREE!!

Let me know if you do find out what is out on yours....I've got an 02 & I've had an alignment done on it 3 times & it still wants to pull the right when there is a large crown in the road...I sort of gave up on it...

It will pull with a crown. The question is how much to offset the pull. That may be a trial & error thing requiring several alignments. That's why I bought the lifetime. I can't say that Firestone is any more or less competent than other places manned by low paid monkeys that can only read the pictures on the machine. At least I'm not paying for error & trial. Be sure to get a printout of your specs. The machine dumps them quickly ie with the next alignment.

I've asked this question before and it seems that the general consensus is that these trucks tend to pull a little to the right. For me its just enough to keep my steering wheel slightly to the left and if there's a crown then it will follow to the right. I hear there's a fix but I just haven't had the time to deal with it and I'm not even sure I will.

Less caster on the crown side to compensate.
