Programming keyless entry remotes?

I am needing to program some more remotes for the new truck. I read several places on the internet that there are ways to do this yourself, however I haven't seen any instructions on how to actually do this. Does anyone on here know how to program the remotes to your vehicle? I have the remotes, just need them to work with my truck. Thanks.

'02 Factory Service Manual indicates that it has to be done with the DRBIII scan tool, which means the dealer has to do it. About the only thing I know for sure you can change yourself is get rid of the annoying rolling door lock "feature" that locks the doors at 10 mph. There's a procedure in the owner's manual for doing that.

With my '02, you can program additional remotes from within the truck using the chime as a prompt. I have 3 total on mine, and programmed them myself. Problem is, without my documentation at hand, I can't tell you how to do it. I did mine following the instructions in the service manual.

{EDIT}

I'll grab my manual tonight and list the programming instructions.

Weird, my service manual only mentions the DRBIII scan tool, no do-it-yourself instructions at all.

Re:Programming keyless entry remotes?

When i bought my truck..one remote was missing. Bought another at the dealer and they had to program it. Just the $40 for remote.

Fords I've been told you can do yourself if you have two..but not one.

I knew I saw the instructions on here somewhere.
Lo and behold, they are in the Tech Facts section.

Here's the link.
