My interior has gotten dimmer. I looked up and now one the the maplights (which act as dome lights with the door open) is out. Worse yet it will not click on or off like the one on the right. No click at all it just moves. How hard is it to pull down the overhead to fix this?

 

On your 01 you need to open the sunglass flip down door. There you will see two tabs that you can push to release the locks. From there the back part slides. You most likely better have a switch/wiring assy on hand as your switch has more than likely come apart. If you are carefull in removing it all the pieces may still be up there and you can repair them. Been there, done that.

 

J BODY, I found the metal tabs, do I push or pull them? (it seems like I am supposed to pull. And do I do only one tab or both? Does this drop the entire console or just the light?
