Pre-wiring

I have searched the forum extensively....I thought I had done my research, but cannot find the second connector.
Are our trucks pre-wired in the cab for power windows and locks?? I have not been able to find the second connector in the cab that will power the windows and locks (second connector from the door) (first connector powers the speakers and power mirrors).
Thanks

Depends what trim level you have. Most SLT Laramie Pluses had all the wiring for the delete items like cab lights and power heated mirrors, O/H console, premium sound, SPORT headlights, fog lights, etc.

Lower trim level trucks may not have, but some do so its a toss up. My truck has it all, the Sport headlight wiring is there, but the fuse slots are empty at the terminal. I also had the power heated mirror hookups and when I converted to Kool-Vues for my year I just plugged them in and they worked.

If you cannot find them terminated in the door, they probably aren't there...

On my 98.5 they were tucked inside the metal panel of the door. had to dig around a bit to see them. Mine is the plain jane sport package, but i put my powered tow mirrors off my '02 when i traded. it all worked fine.

All,
On this subject, at least in my opinion, the specific question is rarely addressed. Are our trucks pre-wired for power windows and locks. On my truck, the answer is NO!! There is not any wiring in the cab, on either the drivers side or passenger side to support the second connector plug that is found on a door that has power windows and locks. The existing connector that all doors have supplies power to the speakers and will support power mirrors.
