yes it did. Today I went out to do it again because it got tite again. the shaft is not machined as you know, it had some roughness to it. so I sanded it with some 400sand paper and I took the bushing down some too. It is ok for now. I think I took enough off this time?? I didn`t want to get it too loose I think I`m good. To answer your question better It was fine until it got down to about 40 to 45degrees and then at about 50 or above it was fine. Cold (bad) warm (good) .It is a bugger bear to get out but you can do it. once you get it out you will see why it is tite. Let me know your progress. I will help any way I can

Did it affect your shift linkage also? What did you use to get it out? I hope once I get mine out I can fix it once and for all. I'm still waiting on a response from David, maybe he'll just send me the new and improved verson.

yes it did effect my shift linkage. when you turn the wheel back and forth the shift linkage would move. sometimes to the point of taking it out of gear. now to get it out. This may not be the right way but it worked. first I drilled a small hole in the housing to put a screw in so I wouldn`t push the shaft up. then I took a small screwdriver to get it started then progressed to a larger one. It is a bugger you just have to be creative.

I haven't tackled it yet. I've been driving my Mazda so it hasn't been a real proirity but will let you know how it goes. Thanks again. I still haven't heard from David, it would be nice to hear his perspective on it.
