Need more info...please fill in your signature so we know your equipment.
Auto, 5 speed, 6 speed? Rear end-3.55 or 4.10? Oversized tires? Any HP added? 4x4? Mileage figured by hand or taken off Overhead readout? Any gauges?

In the meantime, might try this https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...n&onlynewfaq=1
Has been known, as it says, to help mileage some.

Doubt it's the lift pump without feeling loss of power, but since it's new to you you may not have anything to compare it to...so could be.

Mine started out around 16.5 mpg - local...worked up to 18 mpg after breaking in (40,000 miles).

the guys that are getting the 18 + are the guys with stick, mostly 12 vallves, get the fuel milage, 13 is probably around town driving you should get 15+ open road driving if you are not in the throttle all the time, rjohnson is correct with out knowing what you are driving its hard to say what you should get the auto trucks dont get the milage that sticks do,hope it helped you

I'm betting your fuel pressure is low. I've seen several that were low and the trucks were pooch's. you may also want to change/check the intake air temp and map sensors.

My last tank, using a pencil, got 17 mpg. This is every day driving.
I have gotten a high of 22.2 on two back top back tanks, on the highway. I think the pdrhx40 helped mileage.

Check to see if your boost boot clamps are tight. I know this will affect power but may help your mileage as well.

On mileage problems I usually found it helpful to take an OBD2 scanner and read out the values of all the sensors like IAT, MAP etc. If one of them is off whack, but not enough to cause a code, the economy will suffer. If you get strange values see to the connectors and clean the sensors before discarding them and repeat check. Got rid of lots of problems like that.

I just ran mine 875 miles @ 70-75 mph and averaged 18.3 mpg with the overhead. This was my first long trip since I installed my BHAF and my guess is it gave me .5 - 1 mpg. It sure sounds neat.

the overhead consol is pretty acurate till you ad a fuel box on it so keep that in mind, another thing that will loose fuel milage is a exhaust leak, make sure you dont have one,it will run sluggish and loose a few miles to the gallon, just replaced a exhaust manifold that was cracked and gained like 3-4 miles to the gallon, just some thing to keep in mind
