Parking brake issues

My parking brake has not held my truck since having it replaced in 2011 after redoing my entire brake system. After completely replacing everything again with new parts my adjuster is maxed out and the right side does not compress enough for the shoes to be effective. We surmised the intermediate cable should be about 3" shorter for everything to align and work properly, however there is no listed part for a 33" intermediate cable. My current cable is 36". Both rear cables are correct to my VIN with the correct fittings on the ends. The only other intermediate cable we have located at 33' does not have the correct fittings.

My truck is an 01.5 with rear discs and drum-in-hat style parking brake. Any thoughts, fixes or ??

Thanks, Kurt
