Overheating

Last summer I was overheating and replaced my fan clutch and t-stat. Never heated up till recently and the fan did not turn on. I've hosed out the radiator from both sides and there was'nt an ring of oil from the oil bottle. I haven't flushed my cooling system. How do you flushout the cooling system. I don't know what to do about the fan not turning on. This really sucks.
