Overhead console temp reading is wrong

My truck is a 1997 Dodge 2500 Cummins
I have the o-head console for temp/compass
I am getting a readout of 82 degrees and it was 33 degrees today.
It was working fine until about a week ago.
Anyone know where to start with this problem?
Thanks DTR!

I have a 2000 that started to read wrong. All I had to do was unplug it under the hood at the sensor then plug it back in and all was fine. Good Luck.

On my 2000, I had weird temperature readings too, but that was with my winter front installed. I just moved it and all was well.

Try cleaning the sensor and unplugging it as sug't.
