my 97's overhead console will only tell me temp. and direction. it will change over to metric too. but when i press the button on the left, it goes blank. How can i found out where it hooks up to. What info does it even tell me?

 

In my 96 that button turns it off. I don't know if that is the same in your's but it would explain the blank screen

 

maybe thats all its supposed to do. 98's tell you mileage and stuff.

The overhead console will only tell you mileage in the electronic fuel injected engines... or, more specifically the 24 valvers.

 

Thanks for responding. I figured out that it means temprature and compass, not computer.
