I want to put a trip comp/compass/thermo overhead. Does anyone know if all the wiring, etc is there? All I have now is a cubby hole and lights. On my 98, what years console can I use?

Not completely sure if they are available for the Ram but did you guys know that you can buy auto dimming mirrors with compass and temperature from JC Whitney??

A friend with a 97 has one in his. I saw that mirror in JCW, but I am looking to do this cheap!!

 

Check to see if the wiring is there, would suck if someone told you yes and then in your truck it wasn't there.

 

the overheads in my 99 and brothers 98 are different. His only has the temp and compas but mine has the trip computer. Just so you know, the only thing that actually works right on that thing is the temp and direction, all else is basically junk

yup......thats why I recommended the mirror. Other than the temperature and direction, I never look at my trip computer.

 

I've had my consol down for some other mods and all I have is the lites. The wiring IS NOT there for the remaining components. The plug is a 3 ended deal that works the lites and thats all.

There was a thread about 2 months ago about someone doing this upgrade...

BTW that mirror is an EXACT match to my buddies Chev..
