can some one tell me if an overhead computer will work on my truck? it never had one .... is the wiring harness present?

 

There is another thread going on now that is discussing if the wiring is in for that. I think some trucks have it in and not used, and others are not wired. Not sure if has something to do with the trim level or option packages.

 

I added one to my '02 and the harness was not there. Pull your console down and check the connector. The standard console has a 3 pin connector while the computer console has a 12 pin connector. In my case I got the computer/display, cable and temp sensor from a wrecking yard. I also picked up the autodimming mirror and lighted sunvisors since the donar truck had them. The wiring and connector under the dash were there and all I had to do was plug the console harness into them.
