Our trucks are incredible

We have two 12,000 lb gooseneck trailers full of seismic cable. I was pulling one with my Dodge and the other one was being pulled by a 3/4 ton Ford gasser. We were on a about a 500 mile trip home after being out of town for a week working and were all ready to get home and spend the end of fathers day with our families. About 75 miles from home the transmission went out in the Ford. We were on a rural road with little traffic so we decided to try to tow it back. I connected a tow strap from the back of my trailer to the front of the Ford and towed it all back. I could get it up to about 50 mph before my exhaust temps started getting too high. It probably wasn't the safest thing, but the Ford was running so it had good brakes on the truck and trailer and I had good brakes on my truck and trailer so stopping was not an issue. The crazy thing is I added up the weight and assuming 8,000 lb trucks My Dodge was pulling 40,000 lbs.

Thumbs up

I run up to 33,000 as a regular thing with mine. Then the handling gets mushy but it still pulls good. They will do a job....
