OD switch/fog light switch bulbs

Does anybody have a generic number for the bulbs in the two switches? I have mine apart but haven't gone looking for replacement bulbs yet. They are soldered in leads so I am sure I can find one if I look hard enough.

Of course, the dealer says non-servicable (yeah, right).

Also, what bulbs go in the message center? My "wait to start" and "water in fuel" and hazards bulbs were all MIA when I pulled teh messag center apart. No wonder I have never seen the "wait to start" light.

Searching the site turned up discussions but no bulb numbers. Owners manual and maintenance manuals are no help. But I did figure out how to run my aftermarket fog lights the way I want them hooked up.

I've bought then at Napa just by showing them to the counter guy.
Don't have a number for you though.

No go at NAPA, Carquest, AutoZone, and Advance Auto. Dealer only sells the entire bulb and holder for Message Center at $4.78 per

This is the bulb I have spent alot of time looking for locally. Osram/Sylvania/GE/Philips #2182

I replaced my OD bulb 2 weeks ago with one from RadioShack. The bulb I used is a #272-1141. The 2182 bulb would be better, looks like a direct replacement for what's in there. The Rat Shack bulb has a plastic sleeve about 1/2" down the leads that you have to cut off. PITA to strip the insulation from those tiny wires too.

I do most of my driving in town with O/D off so I wired in a O/D inverter relay at the same time. Works slick. Directions are here O/D BUTTON INVERTER

Gotta love my luck - stole a bulb out of the message center lamps to fix the O/D off light and now my O/D backlight bulb isn't working. Back into the dash I go - this time to change ALL of the bulbs plus the headlight backlight while I have it tore apart. At 9 years old it is probably due a few more things that I will have to deal with shortly.

And I thought my wife's Jaguar dashlights were a PITA. At least with the CTD I don't have to resolder cracked solder joints to get lights to work. British design may be stylish but it sure ain't easy to fix sometimes.
